Richard Alexan, M.D., graduated from Laval University Faculty of Medicine and completed his neurology residency at McGill University, with his fellowship in neuromuscular disease at the University of Arizona. He received his specialist certificate in neurology from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada..

Dr. Alexan is a diplomate of the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of The American Academy of Neurology and the Association of California Neurologist. He takes great pride in staying up to date in the latest advances in the field of neurology. He regularly attends continuing medical education opportunities to stay abreast of the most current neurological treatments and pharmaceutical improvements.

Dr. Alexan has been practicing in Bakersfield, California since 2004. He has privileges at Mercy, Memorial, and San Joaquin. He lives and works in Bakersfield and is an active member and supporter of his community.
